The appliance is fine and seems to be well constructed. The appliance is not where my disappointment lies.
I ordered the cooktop in late November, and the first projected pickup date was December 2nd. This date was delayed until December the 11th, which was fine. I didn't actually get to pick it up until January 23rd.
There was no more communication about delays, or stocking issues after the December 11th date. I emailed Whirlpool about the issue but never received a response. I was already looking for another cooktop and was going to cancel the order. I don't know if the issue was with Whirlpool, or the transport company where I picked the item up. Either way, I felt somewhat abandoned.

Just got the cooktop. looks great and so far works like a charm. good temperature control. I like the fact that there is both a small and large burner in the front

Got a white cooktop because difficult for me to see black on black. Gave new cooktop only 4 stars because would like darker circles showing burner borders. Used a sharpie click to make the knob indicator easier to see. Very happy w/way it performs, so glad I made the change. Note: nothing was wrong w/the 21 yr old black Whirlpool cooktop replaced - donated to a thrift shop.

This is the same cookstop I had before. The differences are that is white instead of an ugly black, and that it's ceramic instead of glass. I love this one. It's much easier to keep clean.

This machine is 3 years old and sounds like a bucket of poose bolts and nuts when it goes into the spin cycle. The machine shakes and no matter how you rearrange the laundry it makes the same sound and actions

Front left burner will not get hot enough to bring liquid to a boil. Other than that I am okay with this cooktop.

I went from an electric coil cooktop to the flat surface cooktop and I'm not happy with the change, the pots or pans you cook with slide very easy off the burner and you need to have new ones with a completely flat bottom or they roll while cooking in them. I am not happy with my purchase for that reason and wish I could go back to the coil range. Also it takes too long to cool off.

I have been searching several years for an almond/white! cooktop to replace the black broken - edged one in place since the kitchen remodel 12 years ago. My surfaces are off white and the black always seemed too much of a contrast. At last, Lowe's finds one coming from Michigan. I had to compromise to the dials from the touch controls, but I was ready. As I was signing the purchase papers I said, again, "why isn't the white cooktop more popular? " At this point the very nice sales associate said, "Because it turns brown on the coils which are difficult to remove." Too Late now. But I didn't care, by this time. Now, I am armed with Bartender's Liquid Soft Scrub which does the job of erasing the burnt marks.

Took a while to get it but I like the stove top and hope it lasts longer thank others I have bought. I find that the larger coil area seems to take a while to heat. I was also so pleased to find a white stove top as tgg here BBCsrecrare , but it matched my white kitchen. Thanks for carrying white stove tops!! Just need to get used to it. Installation was done a little different which I am hoping will extend the top.

I bought this cooktop 8 months ago and although it cooks well, the glass top does not hold up. Ours is white and shows many black lines that we cannot clean. I had a white glass cooktop made by Amana for 21 years and never had this problem. I would not recommend this product in white. I cannot speak to how it will hold up in black or stainless. When I contacted Whirlpool they were very unhelpful even though the product is under warrantee.

I love my ceramic glass cooktop. There is nothing that I do not love about it. The different size burners are great and fit my needs. It is very easy to keep clean and I clean it after almost every meal.

I love this cooktop. It works perfectly and is beautiful. My only issue with it is the design of the dual burner. I thought at first that the design was coming off from wiping it clean after use. On further investigation it™™s simply made that way. The inner design is only a partial circle. I think that™™s a bit weird looking. Otherwise though I love it.

After 2 years we are happy with this smooth surface cook top. Removing baked-on food is easy with scouring powder and a scrubby. Also love it provides more counter space for entertaining.Selecting the required nickname is too hard to find one not already used. 5 tries so far.

After scary reviews about keeping a white cooktop clean using cast iron pans, I cancelled my order. I use only cast iron, a large collection with some pieces being almost 50 years old, and I'm not going to switch. But I decided to give it a chance and reordered this white cooktop. I love its beauty and ease of cooking--it heats up quickly and keeps heat with regularity. But the great and unexpected thing is the ease of cleaning! I've been cooking several times a day for a month with cast iron, and the white stove is pristine and sparkling! My cast iron does leave brown marks from ancient grease build up on the bottom that I can't clean off. (It doesn't leave scratches because I don't drag pans across the surface.) I wipe up spills right away when I can (not from a hot burner), but sometimes spills leave a mess that looks frightful and seem they will never get cleaned. But it only takes less than a minute with a warm rag and razor to clean it perfection again, and then I buff dry and shine with a microfiber cloth. Once in awhile I use the cooktop cleaner. I think the secret is to always clean the stove after each use. But it's so easy and the stove so beautiful afterward that I actually enjoy cleaning it! The only one tiny thing I would urge the manufacturers to change is to complete the visual outline of the inside burner on the dual element. Having an incomplete circle is just...odd. But it does end up being a point of conversation about the psychology of shapes...

I ha e had this cooktop for a couple months or so. The cooktop itself works good and like it is supposed too. No issues with that. But keeping it clean is absolutely horrible. Touch it and there is fingerprints, wipe it and there is streak marks. I am constantly cleaning it, even when it hasn't been used. You can't just wipe it off. You have to have 2 microfiber clothes. One wet one and one dry to buff it out. I love whirlpool appliances but if I knew how hard this one was to keep clean I would not have purchased it. This is the 1st time I have regretted ever buying whirlpool. I honestly wished I had my old one back!

The cooktop works well so far, but gets dirty very quickly. You need to use the special cleaner (Affresh) to clean it. It's probably better to get the black surface rather than the white surface as the former hides dirt better.

This was an exact replacement fit for my 30 in cooktop. The ceramic glass is very easy to clean right after every use and is an elegant addition to my kitchen. The Dual Radiant Element makes my wife and daughter so pleased as they prepare their gourmet dishes. I'm not the chef that they are, but I love how works with every skillet and pan we have. It's so easy and practical for even me. We couldn't be more pleased

We purchased this in September 2020 and it looks 10 years old already. It stains and there is no way to clean it. I have owned flat tops for 20 years and know how to take care and clean a flat top. Whirlpool is not doing anything to stand behind their product! Will not purchase a Whirlpool product again!

Hot surface light remains on long after burner is turned off. This occurred after cooktop was installed on 10/6/2020. I think whirlpool should have given me a replacement but they insisted that it had to be repaired. Still waiting for parts so it can be fixed. Very disappointed. Would not recommend Whirlpool products because of customer service.

I really like the cooktop & it does a good job. I am still getting to know it. I wish Whirlpool was easier to contact & that their customer service agents were more patient. I went into chat last week & because I didn't respond fast enough (maybe 60 seconds), the agent ended the chat! Never mind I waited over 10 minutes to even get into the chat. This is my first Whirlpool product. Not sure I will buy another just because of their customer service issues.

Replaced one just like it that cracked - it was "biscuit" or "bisque" color which is no longer available. Replacement unit looks ok (not the preferred color) and performs well but is fragile like the two before it. My color choice being not available is upsetting.

Iam not happy with my stove top, the hot surface light has stayed on. So they called in a repair man to put in a whole new harness wire system. Well that didnt work it still lights up. I bought this after we had a fire. I dont trust this stove with it saying its still warm!!! Iam afraid it will short out and start on fire!! I think its a factory defect and that Whirlpool should replace the whole stovetop!!!
